About This Site
Items for sale: Paintings by area artists, glassware, pottery, housewares, jewelry, stationery and other gifts.
Why you'll want to shop here: A long and storied history. Plum Nellie began as a clothesline art show in Fannie Mennen's home in 1947. The name came from Mennen's brother telling her that the out-of-the-way spot was “Plum from Tennessee and Nellie from Georgia (almost).” When the show ended in 1972, the store opened and has been showcasing local art for 50 years.
Don't forget to buy: Two blown-glass champagne glasses by Prentice Hicks. Their curved stems and brightly colored glass swirls combine to create a “slightly tipsy” vibe.

Don't forget to buy: One of the gift boxes (such as a Napa candle and a mini vase of fresh flowers) would make a perfect hostess gift.
