In Hollywood, actor Kevin Bacon is a big star. In Kenosha County, Wisconsin, Kevin Bacon is one big pig.
The 450-pound pig herder was caught on the Molgado family's surveillance camera last week emerging from his pen and roaming the road, where he was seen having sex.
“My wife spotted an unusual looking figure on our driveway camera walking along the side of the garage,” Jake Molgado said Wednesday, adding that the large stranger “ended up very close to the back door.” he added.
So what would you do if your big four-legged neighbor visited your house on a Friday night?
“My wife immediately started feeding him,” said Molgado, 40, a local business owner. “That's what she does with every animal that comes into our backyard.”
After the couple watched as Kevin devoured apples, rice cakes, tomatoes and carrots, Morgard said it was time to find out who his new friend belonged to.
Molgado lives in Brighton, about 38 miles (61 kilometers) south of Milwaukee, and although he is not a farmer, he has a farm nearby. He called a farmer friend who not only knew the pig's owner but also had his phone number.
The owner was away, but said he would appreciate it if the family could “lure” the big pig into his pen. And, oh yeah, Kevin loves cookies, marshmallows, and other sweet things, he added.
The couple gathered some tempting treats and took Kevin down a trail along a side street where they were joined by a sheriff as an escort for safety.
The Kenosha County Sheriff's Office said on its Facebook page that deputies were dispatched to the scene after receiving a “typical county call.”
Deputies arrived, took several photos with Kevin and left smiling, Molgado said.
Bacon and his new temporary caretakers completed the rest of the journey on their own, but the Molgado family's 16-year-old daughter reactivated herself by jumping on the pig's furry back every time she thought about going home. Ta.
After about a mile and two-and-a-half hours, Kevin Bacon was safely guided back into his cage in the darkness by the light of a flashlight.
“He's a huge creature, but his owner described him as a gentle giant,” Molgado said. “We went there every day and gave him 12 donuts.”
