After analyzing more than 500,000 Instagram posts from the United States, Wren found that modern styles with strong angles and lines are the top choices of Instagram users this year. This means that it is likely to continue to be popular next year.
“The modern kitchen style, featuring a simple and sophisticated design, was found to be the most Instagrammable style of 2020 with 44,458 posts,” Wren Kitchens reported, adding that granite (49,619 We also add more specific details of modern kitchens, such as (23,652 listings) and quartz countertops (23,652 listings). They were also tagged on Instagram throughout 2020.
When it comes to Wren kitchen color schemes, white was the most popular with 48,753 posts tagged, followed by black with 27,528. Both colors go hand in hand with modern monochrome aesthetics.
Just search for the #ModernKitchen trend on Instagram and your feed will be filled with black and white streamlined kitchens. Silver-toned metal accents, texture combinations of wood, stone, and tile, and marble surfaces are all the rage and are likely to continue into 2021.
However, there is no need to worry if the modern style of your kitchen does not suit you. According to Wren, farmhouse style came in second place as a favorite kitchen aesthetic with 20,364 tagged posts. This is a design style that typically features more traditional, rustic, and vintage-inspired accessories, cabinetry, and appliances. Interestingly, think of it as the opposite of a modern kitchen.
However, as with granite countertops, you'll notice that the black and white color scheme permeates both design styles.
You get the best of both worlds when you choose a “modern farmhouse” look for your kitchen redesign. A combination of clean lines with personality, neutral colors with natural textures, chippy paint and rational home appliances.
The logic is that you can't go wrong if you follow both of 2021's big trends.
