Keyes posted a video on Instagram of her surprised reaction to the news. Her husband, Swizz Beatz, filmed the early morning clip, which was joined by her sons Egypt and Genesis.

Keyes said in an interview with Playbill: I wanted to tell a story about a girl really finding herself and her own path. And in the end, it becomes a love story between a mother and daughter. And we can create stories that we don't really get to see, very real stories that aren't often told. ”
This youth musical was written by Pulitzer Prize finalist Christopher Diaz, directed by Michael Greif, and choreographed by Camille A. Brown. Of course, Keys was in charge of writing and composing the songs, including the original song “Kaleidoscope.”
hell's kitchen It debuted at The Public's Newman Theater last October. Broadway productions at the Shubert Theater began on March 28th and officially opened on April 20th.
