A woman was shocked to discover that she could effectively clean her microwave using a simple kitchen cleaning technique.
Gina DeMarco, 48, posted a video to her TikTok account @genx_mompreneur yesterday, showing off her secret to making your microwave cleaner.
“I can't believe I didn't know about this before,” DeMarco wrote in the video's description.
The TikTok user walked over to a stainless steel microwave, opened the door and removed the glass.
DeMarco said in the video that he didn't know you could remove the glass from a microwave door, which he said would make cleaning much easier.

DeMarco is a mother of three and regularly posts videos on TikTok about product reviews and recommendations.
While she has received thousands of views on several of her videos, her cleaning tips video gained an audience on CleanTok and was the first to reach over 1 million views.
In the video, DeMarco opens the door of a 2018 Whirlpool microwave.
She then held the microwave door open with her right hand while pulling out the glass with her left.
“The glass slides out so you can clean the inside,” she said in the video.
“I'm 48 years old and I didn't know something like that could happen.”
After nearly 200,000 TikTok users flooded her post with comments, DeMarco posted another TikTok video on June 4 in response to users' requests for further clarification.
In his rebuttal video, DeMarco opens the microwave door to prove that it has no special features on the side.
“There are no buttons here. There are no levers. There are no handles on the front. There's nothing here,” she said.
“You slide the glass out and there's glass underneath it on the inside as well,” DeMarco said.
The TikTok user then safely placed the glass back inside the microwave door and closed the door.
“I know not all microwaves are like that, but this one is, and if you have a microwave in your house that can do that, that could be great,” DeMarco said.
While many TikTok users were thrilled to learn of the tip, some took to the comments section to claim that the hack didn't work on their microwaves.
“I walked over to the microwave and realized my microwave doesn't have that feature,” one TikTok user posted yesterday.
Other users thanked DeMarco for sharing his cleaning hack with viewers, with one writing that they “didn't know” it despite having been cleaning houses for eight years.
“I checked mine and it was true. I couldn't stand not being able to clean it but now I can,” one person commented.
