Ashley Home Inc., an affiliate of Arcadia-based Ashley Furniture Industries LLC, announced Tuesday that it has acquired Resident Home Inc., a digital retailer and wholesaler of mattresses and bedding accessories.
Resident's mattresses, including Nectar, DreamCloud, Awara and Siena brands, are sold in more than 2,500 retail stores in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
The deal was unanimously approved by both companies' boards of directors, according to an announcement Tuesday.

“Resident Homes will remain an independent business,” said Cole Bawek, vice president of public relations and communications for Ashley Furniture Industries.
Resident co-founders and co-CEOs Eric Hutchinson and Ran Reske will remain with the company.
