American brand Ashley Furniture Home Store has opened at Gurney Paragon Mall in Penang.
The 870 square meter home furnishings outlet carries items such as bedding, mattresses, dining tables, tableware, lighting, sofa sets, recliners and accessories.
Featuring signature Ashley lifestyle collections with themes of vintage casual, urban studies, new traditions, contemporary living, and family spaces.

The Penang store is the company's third in Malaysia, following stores in Citta Mall and Bangi Sentral in Klang Valley, which opened in 2015 and last year, respectively.
Robin Lim, vice president of sales for Asia at Ashley Furniture, sees this region as a key growth area following expansion into the Indian and Brunei markets.
Two more stores are scheduled to open in Malaysia this year, bringing the total to eight stores by 2022.
At the official opening of the Penang store, VIPs participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony after drum and lion dance performances.
