Since June 1974, Covington's Parish Kitchen has provided a free lunch and a place of respite every day to those in need in the community. The organization was founded by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Covington and has provided millions of meals to Northern Kentucky residents since its inception. On Monday evening, Parish Kitchen staff came together to celebrate this milestone, as guests, volunteers and friends came together to sample guests’ favorite meals, tour the facility and mingle with friends. Khue's Kitchen is a new restaurant that opened in the space formerly occupied by Ngon Bistro.
Chef Eric Pham's Vietnamese restaurant, Khue's Kitchen, will open in August in the former Ngon Bistro location on University Avenue. Pham's grandmother, Lung Tran, opened Eat Street's famous Quang in 1989, and his mother, Que Pham, is the chef there. Eric spent most of 2023 running Khue's Kitchen as a pop-up restaurant at natural wine bar Bar Brava, serving dishes like caramelized baby back ribs, five-spice fried tofu, and chili-sprinkled fried chicken sandwiches. Susie Brockman and her husband Ian Calder love DIY projects, so when they found a home in North Chesterfield with an original 1949 kitchen, they knew they wanted to get started right away. A Redfin survey revealed the most desired features among luxury home buyers.Key findings: 86% of buyers want a double vanity, followed by a kitchen island and granite or quartz countertops (85% each).An outdated kitchen is what puts 54% of buyers off purchasing. Hell's Kitchen luxury apartment complex seeks $83 million in damages after crane fire and collapse
Last July, a crane fell on 10th Avenue, leaving the owner of a luxury high-rise apartment building to file an insurance claim for about $83 million in damages.
