A total of $8.5 million will be awarded to support 12 community facility improvement projects across the state, Gov. Andy Beshear's office announced Thursday afternoon. Among those projects is a major upgrade to the kitchen at the Corbin Senior Center, which serves an average of 170 meals daily. Director Amber Case said most of the meals served at the facility are currently prepared at the Whitley County Senior Center in downtown Williamsburg and then transported to Corbin.
