Vestar, one of the Western United States' leading privately owned shopping center owners and managers, today announced the addition of major retailers to the newly developed Queen Creek Crossing. With a total of more than 400,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, the addition of these new tenants brings the center to 100% leased.
The upscale shopping center, anchored by Costco, is expected to begin opening its phase two tenants by the end of 2023, starting with Ashley Furniture Home Store. The furniture giant retailer will occupy 45,000 square feet of space and will be the first to open at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 15. Smoothie King, Gallery Nails and Desert Financial will follow shortly thereafter in January 2024. Arts and crafts retailer Hobby Lobby will occupy 55,000 square feet of space and is scheduled to open in March 2024.
The remaining tenants in Phase 2 will open between spring and fall 2024. BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse, ONO Hawaiian BBQ and The Habit Burger Grill are currently under construction and will be serving the Queen Creek community by November 2024. Also opening next year will be Sleep Number, Batch Cookies, Advanced Orthodontics, Well Groom Pets and Natural Pediatrics.
“We are pleased to attract a selection of national brands and popular retailers and restaurants to Queen Creek Crossing,” said Jeff Axtell, Bester's executive vice president of development. “The addition of these tenants further strengthens our commitment to providing first-class shopping and dining options for residents of Queen Creek and the surrounding areas.”
Queen Creek Crossing is located on 31 acres and is centrally located in the Queen Creek retail corridor at the intersection of South Ellsworth Road and East Fulton Parkway. Conveniently located within a five-mile radius of more than 150,000 residents, Queen Creek Crossing is a premier destination for families, shoppers and diners. With a focus on delivering a diverse and dynamic retail environment, Vestar continues to attract nationally known brands to its portfolio to ensure residents have the best retail and dining experiences.
Queen Creek is part of the expanding Phoenix metropolitan area, one of the fastest growing suburban regions in the country, and Greater Phoenix experienced the largest population growth in the United States in 2022, according to Census Bureau data.
Queen Creek Crossing is one of five ground-up developments being developed by Bester in Arizona, which also includes Vineyard Town Center, Verrado Marketplace, Lavine Town Center and The Shops at Lake Pleasant.
