EAST TEXAS (KLTV) – This week on Kitchen Pickin', Jeff marvels at the value of small items.
souvenir popcorn bucket

Jeff: In case you haven't heard of it yet, it's kind of a cool life hack. If you're willing to put in a little extra effort, buy a souvenir bucket for your movie night. You can usually flip them for a little more than you paid. So why do we experience such difficulties? Because you get free popcorn! You can also do it with drinks.
Steph: I think these are really fun items and it's no wonder I want to collect them. They're so popular now that I think you'll see more of them hitting store shelves at yard sales once they move to college or elsewhere and start cleaning out their kids' rooms. That way, you can get a good price.
starbucks tumbler

Jeff: Starbucks used to be easy to pick up, but that seems to have changed. The world of resale is very fluid. What is gold one day can be trash the next, and Starbucks seems to have become a fad. It's a shame because this tumbler is quite durable and looks like it will last a long time.
Steph: I looked into this. It's from Christmas 2023, so it's very new. It's still on sale on Amazon for $36. Its name is “Silver Metallic Foil Hammered Ceramic Tumbler”.
stanley thermos

Jeff: Next, let's talk about the current trends. Stanley has been around for quite some time, but recently women have discovered Stanley, and the story is that a Stanley boom has arrived. This thermos isn't necessarily part of that particular boom, but we're hoping the brand name will catch on.
Steph: This is fairly new and is still sold online at various stores like Dick's Sporting Goods and Amazon. It sells for about $26, but I'm not sure if this nice green color is still available. I love it!
hard rock cafe double stem glass

Jeff: Hard Rock Cafe is a popular brand, and I was lucky enough to buy it whenever I see it. This double stem has a very cool and unique look.
Steph: They definitely have a unique look, I agree. Like you said on the show, it's not worth a ton unless you're his HRC collector or love Phoenix items.
Le Creuset

Steph: Mrs. Picker got these for the price, but I was a little worried that we had paid too much. But these little guys have some value. In my research, I discovered that a large Le Creuset Dutch oven was on display at the National Museum of American History because it was a staple in Julia Child's kitchen.
Steph: I love this brand of cookware! I don't have a bakeware, but I love this little cocotte. They are currently on sale at Williams Sonoma for $22 each. Regular price is $32. I think this is the color called oyster. Made from high-temperature fired stoneware, it is highly durable and can hold up to 8 oz. This is a blog to give you some recipe ideas for anyone who has something like this or something similar.
