This week, Barstow's Billy's Kitchen will be featured in America's Best Restaurants.
Owner Billy Brown Adams said he invites area residents to a premiere viewing party on Wednesday, June 26, from 4 to 7 p.m., at 224 N. 7th Ave. in Barstow.
“Watch the specials on our big screen TVs and enjoy limited-time specials and complimentary Wacky Cakes,” Adams said.
In February, a film crew from America's Best Restaurants dropped by Billy's Kitchen with host J. Russell to film an episode filled with plenty of conversation and food.
The film crew also stopped off at The Ranch Steakhouse in Phelan and Cross Eyed Cow Pizza in Orogrande.
“America's Best Restaurants” is best known for spotlighting popular dishes and interviewing restaurant owners in episodes that air on social media channels and the company's website, according to the national marketing company.
Restaurants featured on Roadshow are selected through customer recommendations or by restaurants that apply to be featured on americasbestrestaurants.com.
Billy's Kitchen
Billie's Kitchen is known for its Mexican food, burgers, homemade soups, fried catfish and smokehouse barbecue.
From his renovated “little hidden gem,” Brown has built a large foodie fanbase, including food blogger Alex Church.
In the online video, Church enjoys a secret menu item from Billy's Kitchen called the “TikTok Burrito,” which is filled with beans, rice, meat, nacho cheese and Flamin' Hot Cheetos powder.
Church called the giant burrito “absolutely amazing” and gave it a 9.8 out of 10.
He told viewers: “You guys, you have to try this burrito. If you've never been to Billy's, they have a variety of delicious foods.”
