The LaGrange-Troop County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting Thursday to celebrate the return of Nicole Furniture Sales' interior design brick-and-mortar store.
Interior design and furniture shops are not new to Lagrange. Owner Gwen Nicole Milton said they have been in business for 14 years and this is something of a relaunch for their office space in downtown LaGrange.
“We're excited to be back in our brick-and-mortar location,” said Office Manager Maggie Foster. “We're excited to be back in our building position so we can better serve our customers. Our goal is to make everyone's home beautiful.”
Milton is a real estate agent with a desire to provide a one-stop shop for his customers by helping people buy and decorate homes, as well as properly stage and sell their homes.14 I started this business a year ago.
“I'm a real estate agent so I love interior design. I love home staging and at one point I wanted to be a one-stop shop to sell your home. You buy furniture from me. and we can stage it [to sell]” said Milton.
Milton said they offer all types of home and office furniture.
Foster is a longtime friend of Milton's and has been involved in the business since the beginning.
“Maggie is the person who has run the business and will continue to run the business. With multiple jobs and health issues, I needed to build a team and she has been A-1 since day one 14 years ago,” Milton said.
“I handle all the day-to-day operations. Gwen still has a full-time job. She's a full-time real estate agent. So I'm here Monday through Friday and everything runs smoothly. I'm going to take her place,” Foster said.
