The Kitchen Incubator of Chattanooga, a nonprofit focused on supporting and empowering food entrepreneurs, will host “KIC Nights” starting with a “Faith and Family” evening on June 21 from 5-9 p.m.
KIC's Pat Rowe says their mission is to bridge the gap between underrepresented entrepreneurs.
“One of the things we've noticed in the city is there aren't many places where food trucks can operate profitably,” Rowe said. “If you're not making a profit, you shouldn't be in business.”
KIC provides a platform for small businesses to thrive. It hosts “Food Truck Fridays” on the first Friday of every month from 11am to 3pm. KIC Nights were created after the community requested evening events.
“We heard the call, responded and started KIC Nights on the third Friday of every month.”
KIC Nights will be held the third Friday of every month from 5pm to 9pm through August 16th at Kitchen Incubator (5704 Marlin Road) in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Friday, June 21st will be “Faith and Family” Night.
“We've invited a lot of churches in the area. Karen Collins and Sam Patton and Friends will be providing entertainment. We'll have food trucks. We'll have food vendors,” Rowe said.
Rowe urges people to support the Midtown community and small business owners, and says they're still accepting vendors.
