Silantra Asian Street Kitchen is running a promotion to celebrate its expansion into the Harrisburg area.
To celebrate its opening today, July 19, the restaurant at 3499 Carlisle Pike in Hampden Township is offering a buy-one-get-one-free promotion on bowls and bottles, which will run from July 19-21.
Owners Sam and Cindy Guo, who opened Cilantra in Lancaster in 2015, said they chose Camp Hill because it's a vibrant and growing market after coming up with the concept for a fresh, healthy Asian restaurant while attending Penn State University.
This will be the fourth location for the growing chain, which also operates restaurants at 101 E. King St. and 1917 Fruitville Pike in Lancaster County and West Manchester Town Center in York County.
Similar to Chipotle, diners line up cafeteria-style and choose their ingredients, including protein, vegetables and sauce.
Options include rice and salad bowls and the specialty scallion pancakes (called “bingsu”), with a choice of chicken, steak, pulled pork, shrimp, tofu, or portobello mushroom.
Side dishes include sweet potato fries and “shrimp chips,” while the drinks menu includes yuzu lemonade, passion fruit oolong tea and Thai tea latte. The Kuo's said they plan to create a special menu for the restaurant's opening.
The chain is also very community-based, with each store holding fundraisers for local nonprofits.
Open daily from 11am to 8pm.
