The Dundee Veterans Association will receive a grant of more than $73,000 to cover the costs of renovating the Post's kitchen and bar area. The grant was announced Monday as part of more than $40 million in capital grants awarded through the Nonprofit Infrastructure Capital Investment Program and the Veterans Nonprofit Capital Program.
Gov. Kathy Hockle announced that she would be awarding $1.13 million to 18 state governors. Veterans Provides assistance to organizations through the Veterans Nonprofit Capital Program.
The governor also announced $39.6. 118 human service organizations were awarded $1 million in grants through the Nonprofit Infrastructure Capital Investment Program. Administered by the New York State Dormitory Authority, NICIP provides capital grants of up to $500,000 to nonprofit organizations across the state to implement projects that improve the delivery of critical services. Several local human service organizations received funding, including Moziac, Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Family Service Society, the Arc of Chemung-Schuyler, and Salvation Army. “This funding will enable organizations across the state to continue providing critical services to New Yorkers in need, including veterans and their families.” Governor Hockle said. “From fundamental renovations to service facilities to essential upgrades to keep them up and running, these grants will help strengthen our nonprofit sector, strengthen communities, and ensure New York families stay connected to vital services.”
