Eric Adjepong is not just a celebrity chef. He has been Best Chef He currently appears as a judge and host on several Food Network series.. He has already published a children's book and is working on his first cookbook.. Adjepong is a West African-inspired cuisine that has won the hearts of many, including our favorite stars.
Last year, Adjepong guest-starred on Selena Gomez's HBO series. Serena + ChefAlong with Gomez's friend and co-star Raquel Stevens, the pair cooked up a feast fit for a holiday brunch.
The meal's main dish, South African malva pudding, ended up baking in the oven for too long because Gomez was distracted by a text message from boyfriend Benny Blanco and didn't set the timer. Adjepong recently stopped by the Delish Kitchen Studio to show us how to make a chocolate version of the recipe and share what it was like cooking with Gomez.
Adjepong first met Gomez when he showed up for a shoot. It was a really, really lovely moment. I felt at home straight away.”

“The competition is tough. Not only do you have to face yourself and the camera, but you also have to present your food to a highly trained palate who have literally tasted everything from all over the world,” Adjepong says.
He's cooked for some of TV's toughest judges: “Everyone thinks Gordon Ramsay is the toughest, but he's a tough chef to impress,” he reveals. “But as a competition judge, the ones who are really the hardest to impress are Tom Colicchio, Scott Conant and Marcus Samuelsson. These chefs have spent more than half their life cooking, so I can hide from them as much as I want.”

“Even now, all the people I competed against [on Top Chef] “He's a really dear friend of mine. We all have a group chat. We keep in touch with each other. People get married, they have babies, life changes,” he says. Best Chef For me, this was the hardest thing I've ever done.”
On the show, Adyepong has had the opportunity to cook for celebrity guests like Lena Waithe, Kelly Clarkson, Ali Wong and Danny Trejo, but he still has a long list of stars he'd like to cook for, with one famous singer and makeup mogul in particular high on his list.
“Rihanna, obviously, I don't know her that well, but I think she's a very down to earth person. She doesn't eat fancy meals at fancy restaurants, but rather regular mom-and-pop, really down to earth food,” Adjepong says. “She'd go for conch salad, oxtail, pate, things like that. I'm sure it's her thing. Maybe. Rihanna, give me a shout out.”
