A South Florida woman was shocked to find a giant alligator walking right in the middle of her house. Mary Hollenback first heard a strange rattling noise through the screen door, and when she got up, she says the alligator was already inside. To Hollenbach's disbelief, the alligator walked down her hallway and into her kitchen. That's when she called 911. ''I tried to sound coherent, but long story short, I told him I had a crocodile in the house, he was doing paperwork and was receiving papers. How tall is it?’ I said 8 feet,” she said. The Florida Department of Fish and Wildlife and Sarasota County deputies eventually removed the alligator from the home. He was measured to be 7 feet 11 inches. inch.

Incredulously, Hollenbach said the alligator walked down the hallway and into the kitchen.
That's when she called 911.
“I tried to be consistent, but I basically told him there was an alligator in the house. He was doing paperwork and was getting papers. He said, ' How long is an alligator?’ I said 8 feet,” she said.
The Florida Department of Fish and Wildlife, along with Sarasota County deputies, eventually removed the alligator from the home.
I measured it and it was 7 feet 11 inches.
