Watford Football Club has unveiled brand new kitchen equipment to enable the clubhouse to better serve the local community.
Everett Rovers Football Club is currently set up to provide improved social space at its Dodd Road site as part of an extensive three-year £3 million investment program.
The aim is to turn the clubhouse into a hub for social activities, where supporters can enjoy a cup of tea, club volunteers can work up a sweat and players can celebrate and chat after the game.
Everett Rovers FC is one of 450 grassroots clubs to benefit from Howden's Game Changer program to improve their clubhouses.
Club vice-chairman David Preedy said: “The club was founded in 1997, secured a 30-year lease on the land in 2016 and built a clubhouse which opened in 2018.
“Although we had limited funds to set up a kitchen, we were determined to provide a shared space for the community.

“So through fundraising and events over the past four or five years, we have been buying bits and pieces of cupboards and tables to keep us running.
“The newly installed Howdens Kitchen will provide a fully functional kitchen that will allow us to serve local people.
“Better work spaces and high-quality appliances will increase productivity and create new revenue streams.”

Everett Rovers has 28 youth teams, as well as three boys' teams and one girls' team at the adult level. We also host the Pan-Disabled Team, Hertfordshire's largest inclusive youth club.
Richard Harding of Watford-based R. Harding Builders was in charge of the fitting.

“We know how valuable our facilities are to a club like Everett Rovers FC, so we are committed to ensuring they are sustainable while benefiting local communities across the UK. We look forward to continuing to work with more grassroots clubs alongside Hordens.”
The Howdens Game Changer program was launched in 2023 by football legends Jill Scott and Chris Kamara.
