ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Garcia’s Kitchen is running out of patience and gas after thieves got creative when stealing the kitchen from a catering van. They are now offering a reward for information leading to his arrest.
Owners say someone stole gasoline from a catering van, marking the fifth theft at the Central store on Sunday. “They're probably getting $5 to $10 worth of gas, and it's costing them more than $2,000 per van,” the owners say.

Because they're not sucking gas out, they're punching a hole in the gas tank, they say, “These gas tanks can't be patched and need to be replaced.” If that happens, the repair cost will be over 100,000 yen.
Garcia's owners say this will eliminate the need for a van for the catering department. That means lost revenue as vans come in and out of the shop for repairs.
Garcia has also spent more money on additional surveillance cameras and lights, and plans to spend even more if the man is arrested. Garcia's Kitchen is concerned there may be other victims and is hoping police will come forward with additional information so they can arrest this man.
