Goons4Good is pleased to announce that our recent Comedy Night, held at Village Lutheran Church on June 26th, was a huge success. The event brought together 102 attendees for an evening of laughter and community spirit. The event featured performances from top comedians and raised $1,600, which was donated to the Community Services Associates (CSA) Soup Kitchen in Mount Vernon, NY on July 17th.
The comedy night featured great comedians and delicious food. There was also a 50/50 raffle, and “we were so grateful that the winner donated half their raffle money to the event.” Proceeds from the event will benefit the CSA Soup Kitchen's mission to provide nutritious meals to those in need, foster a sense of community, and ensure that no one goes to bed hungry.
Goons4Good is committed to spreading joy and making a tangible difference in people's lives. The presentation of the check to the CSA soup kitchen was scheduled for July 17th during VLC's monthly trip. Each month, members of Village Lutheran Church and The Chapel School sign up to cook meals for over 80 people. These meals are then delivered to the soup kitchen for distribution.
“We're so grateful to everyone who participated and supported Comedy Night,” said Dave Chametzky, co-founder of Goons4Good. “The success of this event is a testament to the power of community and the impact that laughter can have when combined with a commitment to help those in need.”
