Hell's Kitchen Star Malea Joy Moon wins the 2024 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical

Moon won her first Tony Award for her role as Ali in the Alicia Keys musical.

Hell's Kitchen Lead actress Maleah Joy Moon won the award for Best Actress in a Musical at the 77th Tony Awards ceremony held at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater on June 16.

Moon received the award for her role as Ali in the new musical inspired by the life of 15-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys.

The Shubert Theatre musical centers on 17-year-old Ali and her mother, who live in a cramped apartment near Times Square. Ali wants to live her New York dream, but her mother (2024 Tony Award nominee Shoshana Bean) fears her daughter will repeat her mistakes.

The new musical, written by Christopher Diaz, will mark Moon's Broadway debut.
