The service, provided by Dubai Municipality, allows residents to leave bulky waste at their doorstep or near a bin after notifying the municipality of their collection request.
How can I request a bulky waste collection service?
Bulk waste removal services can be requested using Dubai Municipality’s smartphone application “Dubai Municipality – DM Unified Mobile app”.
However, elderly and determined people can also make a request by calling the municipality's call center number 800 900.
Telephone services are available for senior citizens and those who are prepared. Since the launch of Dubai Government's e-transformation initiative, Dubai Municipality has encouraged all residents to submit their requests through Dubai Municipality's integrated mobile app, which includes all Dubai Municipality services.

To use the app for your service, follow these steps:
1. Download the Dubai Municipality app, available for both Apple and Android devices.
2. Under Services, request “Bulk Waste Pickup Service'' under the “Waste Management'' tab.
3. Enter details of any old furniture or bulky items you want to dispose of.
4. Enter your address details including your Makani number.
5. If you would like to add a photo of your waste, you can also do so.
6. Click Continue.
The request will be automatically forwarded to our Bulk Waste Services team and a pick-up appointment will be scheduled with the customer.
Abdulmajeed Saifai, Director General of Waste Management, said the service will support Dubai Municipality's efforts to segregate waste and ensure 75 per cent diversion of waste from landfills.

Saifaie said the service currently covers various parts of the emirate, excluding real estate development areas and free zones such as The Palm and Discovery Gardens.
What happens to bulky waste after it is collected?
All bulk waste collected will be taken to the municipal waste disposal site, where Dubai Municipality will contract with a private recycling company to separate the bulk waste and minimize waste entering landfills. .
