I don't know how I would have survived without it.

If you read my post about the ALDI meat chopper you'll know that I try to minimise fancy gadgets in my kitchen (despite its accurate name, a meat chopper is far from fancy!) 15 years ago I didn't have these boundaries – I was trying to have it all!
Having kids also means owning more “stuff” and I've been doing my best to keep unnecessary possessions to a minimum, so I'll be honest, I was on the fence about buying an electric citrus juicer I found in the Dollar Spot section of Target, but in the end I went back and bought it.
I already have a manual juicer that I love, but when I saw the rave reviews for this one on TikTok, I thought it was worth a try for only $5. And I'm so glad I did! This little device squeezes out every last drop of juice with minimal effort, making it perfect for a quick glass of orange juice at breakfast or any time you need a lot of juice. I don't know how I ever lived without it.
Target Dollar Spot Juicer Features
This juicer is super simple: it comes with a single-speed motor, a reamer, and a USB power cable. Just plug it into the adapter, place your citrus halves in the cone, press down, and watch the magic happen.
It's so easy (and fun) that my daughter loves to help with juicing. She doesn't have the strength to squeeze a metal juicer, but this gives her something fun and productive to do. This is a good “kids in the kitchen” job.

Why I Love Target's Dollar Spot Juicer
-
It changed my kitchen habits. For me, special mornings (like the first day of camp or the last day of school) can start with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice or a big glass of water infused with herbal tea, something that used to be a weekend-only luxury.
-
Extract everything. My manual juicer is great for squeezing one or two small citrus fruits like a lemon or lime, but it often leaves a fair amount of juice behind no matter how hard I squeeze. Electric models work better for all kinds of citrus fruits and extracts. Until the last dropThis means less fruit waste and more money.
-
My daughter started coming into the kitchen. That might be the best part: My daughter has grown tired of helping with certain tasks, but so far she loves operating the juicer. This task keeps her involved and engaged in meal prep, which has always been a priority for me in terms of helping my daughter develop a healthy relationship with food.
How to use this citrus juicer
You can prepare a large amount of vinaigrette in minutes. I wish I had bought it sooner. For example, last year I worked for weeks on this margarita ice cube recipe, which I thought would be easier to make. During that time, I squeezed them by hand. many Juicing pounds of limes can be a real challenge, and now I rely on this juicer to make my popular 12 ounce cubes of lime juice for parties.
My daughter has been wanting to do a lemonade stand for the past year, but she doesn't know it yet. But I'm going to secretly build one for her and give it to her as a surprise gift at the end of the month, so she'll actually get to see the fruits of her labor.
From fresh lemonade to vinaigrettes to cocktails, this little juicer is an essential part of my culinary tool kit — a small investment of $5 that pays off in delicious returns.
