Shoppers have secured coveted bargains in the kitchen at a fraction of their actual value.
The price of the piece was so low that even the cashier didn't seem very happy.
Redditor TheGreenTeaFrog shared the steal in a post on the social media platform.
“Today was a good day,” they said.
They added several photos of this thrift store gem, including the $12 price tag.
“The cashier wasn't happy with the pricing on this item,” the thrifter added of the kitchen essential.
“I was a little worried that he would refuse to sell it to me.”
French cuisine
A Redditor spotted a product from the famous home goods brand Le Creuset.
Similar to what they found, their signature enameled cast iron square grill pan sells for a whopping $225 at Williams Sonoma.
The uneven inside of the pot makes it ideal for cooking meat.
The French-made cookware line is known for its durability and style.
crowd reaction
Several Redditors took to the comments section to share their thoughts on Le Creuset products and the cashier's reaction.
“At my local thrift store, workers can choose up to three things to keep while they work,” one person wrote.
”[They do this] Because it's staffed by volunteers and it's a really good system that rewards people for volunteering while preventing employees from taking everything off the shelves.
“I feel like this is a better system. Everyone is happier because employees aren’t hiding things to get back at or other people find out about it first and get upset. ”
“I'm so jealous that I got a Le Creuset pot for $11.99 lol,” added another user.
“I'm glad they quadrupled the price to clear all doubts,” chimed in a third.
“A few years ago, I'm pretty sure I was overcharged for an item at a thrift store because the cashier found a really good item and was salty about it,” said yet another man. Ta.
“I didn't intend to fight, but I still have negative feelings towards that store.”
One Redditor shared his Le Creuset bargains outside of second-hand shopping.
“Great color. I found the same brand and size at Marshalls for less than $20 in orange,” said another.
“Marshall is also like a treasure hunt.”
