When it comes to children's toys, there's something magical about them that brings joy and wonder into the lives of children (and sometimes parents). As a mother of two girls, a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old, there is nothing more heart-warming than watching my daughters cooperate and play so enthusiastically while I do things around the house. There is nothing to be done. That's why I'm always looking for toys that not only have fun, but also encourage sociability and free play.
We're also always looking for toys that fit perfectly into our lives. Our home features an open floor plan where the playroom blends seamlessly with the living, dining, and kitchen spaces. We love when girls' play fits naturally into everyday life, but we also take the same care in choosing our toys. Not only does it look beautiful, but it's easy to clean up at the end of the day. I wouldn't go so far as to call myself “Type A,” but I've been known to indulge in the occasional Marie Kondo session and purge my closet of items that no longer “spark joy.” We haven't created a labeling system for pantries and refrigerators. When it comes to toys, I love letting my kids be kids, but I also value a quiet, tidy home after my munchkins are asleep for the night.
In my opinion, the best children's toys should provide years of free play, be aesthetically appealing, and be easy to care for and organize. So when Tinyland's Montessori-style play kitchen came into our lives, it was a revolution, an entryway into a world of imaginative play, social interaction, and essential life skills for our daughters. It served as a source of true joy for my daughters. I have a tendency to like to be organized. Here's what I liked:
We tried out Tiny Land's Montessori-style play kitchen – here's why we loved it
My daughter's reaction was priceless.
My 3-year-old son's eyes lit up with surprise when he unveiled the Tiny Land Montessori-style play kitchen in his living space. “Oh my god, I can't believe my heart!” she exclaimed (which, of course, I added directly to her record of adorable words). Her beautiful and realistic kitchen designs quickly transported her into a world of pretend cooking and culinary adventures. She was immediately drawn to the pretend cookware and small chef-sized kitchen gadgets, and she began “making breakfast” before 6 a.m. (thanks to daylight saving time).
Provides opportunities for free play and social interaction
One of the most remarkable things about the Tiny Land Play Kitchen is how it encourages hours of free play and interaction. This is truly a platform for creativity and interaction. My 3-year-old son has spent countless hours creating culinary masterpieces and preparing imaginary tea parties for his favorite stuffed animals, and has turned his younger sister into a petit sous chef…or doing the dishes. I love letting them participate in pretend play as an opportunity. And when my toddler is at school, my 1-year-old son enjoys rattling around pots and pans and exploring storage bins. Please note that this kitchen is intended for children over the age of 3. I can already see this setup being a favorite in our home for years to come.
There is intentionally enough storage space
At first glance, you may not realize how much storage space this play kitchen offers. As a parent who values organization, I appreciate how the kitchen teaches children the importance of tidying up and managing their belongings. I also love that I can use the four removable storage bins to teach my girls about sorting. My son, who is now 3 years old, is really into it. This garbage can also allows you to neatly store cooking utensils and play food without much effort, making it easy to return your living room to its normal state at the end of the day.
Thoughtful design blends into your interior
Tiny Land's Montessori-style play kitchen ticks all the boxes with its eco-friendly craftsmanship and thoughtful design. First of all, the chic cottagecore aesthetic, featuring muted white and beige tones, touches of gold “hardware” and natural wood shelving, is definitely appealing. The spacious cupboard and faux faucet strike the perfect balance between practicality and whimsy, making kitchen role-play incredibly realistic. Also, hanging hooks for storing kitchen utensils are a unique touch that gives this kitchen a special charm. Je ne sais qui. Tiny Land also cares about quality and has strict requirements for all the wood they use, so you can rest assured that your kitchen is free of his BPA and uses non-toxic paints. Masu.
Assembly was easy
I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the Tiny Land Montessori-style play kitchen was to put together. It took about 2 hours to assemble by myself. For comparison, my husband and I built another play kitchen a few years ago that took us over 4 hours. There are 400 tiny screws involved. On Christmas Eve. Building this Tiny Land kitchen was a completely different experience. Step-by-step instructions and clearly labeled bags containing the hardware make it an easy to manage (and dare I say fun?) task, and a bonus when putting this together by yourself. The satisfaction I felt was immeasurable.
In short, the Tiny Land Montessori style play kitchen has transformed our playtime and added elegance and ease to our living room and play area. The result was hours of endless imaginative play and lovely collaboration with my daughters. The ample storage and beautiful design are added bonuses that please my organization-loving heart. This kitchen is truly transformative for little chefs and their parents, and will make a great holiday gift that will keep on giving for years to come.
