The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has commemorated Father’s Day with an inspiring message praising the joys and responsibilities of being a father.
In a statement to X.com on Sunday, Sanwo-Olu reflected on the many facets of fatherhood, saying it involves “responsibility, love, commitment and a bit of kitchen work.”
He stressed that being a good father requires sacrifice, perseverance and a commitment to excellence, values that guide him both at home and as a leader of the nation.
Sharing the picture, he wrote: “For me being a father means responsibility, love and sometimes a call to work in the kitchen. It requires sacrifice, perseverance and dedication to give the best to my family.”
“In all my roles as a father and as a leader, I strive to nurture, provide for and ensure my family thrives. I will bring the same dedication I bring to my service to Lagos.”
“The love and principles we live by in our family guide me every day as governor.
“Together we build a stronger, more caring community. Happy Father's Day.”
