This week's quiz: On February 17th, I asked Paul Myers about his last article on the African Cup of Nations, which he spent a month covering in Ivory Coast. As Paul said, Ivory Coast defeated Nigeria 2-1 in the final and won their third “continental crown.”
You were supposed to submit the answer to this question: “What is the name of the Ivorian player who was the first to lift the Africa Cup of Nations 2023 trophy?”
The answer is: Max Gradel. Paul writes in his own article: “It was also great to give Max Gradel, the oldest player in the Ivory Coast squad, the honor of being the first player to lift the 2023 Nations Cup trophy.”
In addition to the quiz questions, there was a bonus question suggested by Debashis Gope from West Bengal, India. “What are you doing to prevent climate change?”
