Earlier this week, Dancing with the Stars The host gave her Instagram followers a quick tour of her Hollywood Hills home, which included eye-catching blue kitchen cabinets and a Bell beauty and the beast I would approve.
In the video, the professional dancer and actress is seen pretending to play with her pet dog Sunny while doing household chores. “Sorry I didn't notice your message. I've been super busy lately,” she humorously wrote in the caption.
The video gives us a look at different parts of the $2 million Los Angeles home, including the backyard, living room, and bedrooms, but the most notable feature is the kitchen, where the space is generally in muted tones, but the ultra-trendy blue cabinets provide a striking contrast. Better Homes & GardensShe explained that muted hues make you feel more “calm,” while vibrant colors symbolize “pure joy.”
Hough isn't the only one adding color to her kitchen cabinets: Experts all agree that colorful storage spaces, rather than typical white ones, will become increasingly popular in 2023. Abigail Horace, principal designer and founder of Connecticut-based Casa Marcelo, told Apartment Therapy that blue decor is becoming popular this year.
“People are drawn to it because it enlivens a space and is versatile enough to be used in any season,” she said.
And then there's the library ladder, which you may never hear of in a kitchen, but is honestly a great idea. The rolling ladder allows Huff to reach glasses and plates on the highest shelf and feel like a Disney princess. The perfect vertical storage win!
“My life is fleeting. I'm always busy and I travel a lot, so I've created a safe, special place where I can feel like my true self and balance it all,” says Huff, who worked with architect Steve Wunderlich and interior designer Jake Arnold to renovate her home earlier this year.
