Cabalar Meat Company moves to new location in Lancaster. Chellas Arepa Kitchen makes use of empty space
A butcher and burger restaurant is moving to a larger location in Lancaster, making room for another eatery to open its first brick-and-mortar location. Cavalla Meat Company's new store on West Lemon Street will be nearly three times the size of its current location. There is a full bar. The owners believe the new restaurant could open in late summer or early fall. Cheras Arepa Kitchen, which serves Peruvian and Venezuelan cuisine, plans to open a restaurant in the former Cavallar location in the 300 block of North Queen Street. ”We want to emphasize that our downtown location allows us to add more items to our gluten-free menu, including Peruvian ceviche,” said Luis Quiroz, owner of Cellas Arepa Kitchen. The Chellas currently operate a food trailer on Hempstead Road. The trailer will remain there after the new restaurant opens.
