Other than chocolate-covered snails and snails, I have purposely never eaten any insects that are acceptable in processed foods for as long as I can remember. Last time I wrote about lab-grown meat, it wasn't approved in the United States. I will try it at least once. 25% of the protein that humans consume comes from insects. Primarily African and Asian larvae/nymphs. Damn globalists.
Cultured meat, also known asLab-grown meat is allowed to be sold in the United States.
Good Meat, which sells its products in Singapore, promotes its products as “slaughter-free meat,” a more humane approach to meat-eating. Supporters hope cultured meat will reduce the need for traditional livestock farming, which emits greenhouse gases, and help fight climate change. The company previously announced it was partnering with chef and restaurateur Jose Andres to bring the product to restaurants in Washington, D.C. A company spokesperson said the company is working with his team on a launch, but does not have specific information on a timeline at this time. As production increases, Good Meat may consider partnering with other restaurants or starting retail, he added.
Upside Foods and Good Meat, two companies that make so-called “grown chicken,” announced Wednesday that they have received permission from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to begin producing cell-based proteins.
Owned by Good MeatPlant-based egg substitutesManufacturer Eat Just said it would begin production immediately. Cultured meat, or lab-grown meat, is grown in a giant environment. It's very similar to what you'd find at a brewery.
Wednesday's move follows a series of previous approvals that paved the way for the sale of cultured meat in the United States.

This ban could, and likely will, be considered a pre-emptive effort to ensure things remain as they are. But it's also a dog whistle to a certain segment of DeSantis' base that believes in conspiracy theories that so-called “globalists” are forcing us to eat bugs and live in pods. This theory, also known as the “Great Reset,” was first proposed in 2020. The theory is named after an initiative by the World Economic Forum that called on governments to use the pandemic to promote sustainable development. Right-wing commentators have confused the Great Reset initiative with a 2016 World Economic Forum blog post on insect protein and a 2013 book published by the United Nations on insect farming.
After all, Florida's artificial meat ban has nothing to do with insect protein or the World Economic Forum, but DeSantis certainly wants voters to think it does.

“To that I say Florida has heard enough about it.” Ron DeSantis bans lab-grown meat; insectEven if a frozen iguana falls from a tree there, protein.
Tyson Foods, a famous American meat producer, recently ventured into producing insect protein. They partnered with Protix, a company specializing in insect-based ingredients, to establish a factory in the United States focused on producing sustainable protein sources from insects. — However, it is important to note that these insect proteins are not intended for direct human consumption at this stage, but for use in animal feed, especially for pets, poultry, and fish.
Tyson Foods is doing its best to address the controversy. Between his promise to hire illegal workers and his implementation plan, insectproteinThe company has faced widespread scrutiny for incorporating '' into its food products.

Tyson Foods and Cargill are making major investments in lab-grown meat. The largest investment to date in lab-grown meat was backed by Tyson New Ventures (TNV), the investment arm of meat giant Tyson. Animal Ag Alliance seems to have an open attitude about the whole situation. https://t.co/pW3sPT3YG5 pic.twitter.com/QunGEX1J7j
