Caroline Smith's delightful story, “The Kitchen Witches,” opens the season at Brook Hills Playhouse Friday through Sunday. The show stars Dolly Biddle and Isobel Lomax as two “mature” cable TV cooking show hosts who have hated each other for 30 years. The feud began when Larry Biddle dated one and married the other. The cast is made up of four actors of different ages and stage experience, including, from left, Matthew Kolb as Steven Biddle, Heather Deerfield as Dolly Biddle, Kelly Everhart as Lomax, and Chasty Stevie as Robbie the cameraman. The show is directed by Chelsea Barnhart of Follansbee. The playhouse's 53rd season is sponsored by Municipal Mutual Insurance Company, Reissner Funeral Homes and Innovative Lab Services. Show times are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for seniors and students, and $10 for children. Season passes are available. Payment can be made by cash or check. For more information, visit Brooke Hills Playhouse's Facebook page or call or text them at (304) 737-3344.
