The functionality of the kitchen island (perhaps the most popular modern home staple) is no secret. The Philadelphia Eagles center and his wife, Kylie, used veined marble for the top of their kitchen island. Striped marble is one of the most luxurious materials of all, and it's a choice that makes a strong statement in an otherwise all-white kitchen.
