McAdoo took off after five laps, but McAdoo stopped again and Dwyer could be seen swinging his leg over the back of the car and running up the tunnel. #63, who scored 0 points that night, had great expectations for the championship. His plus-4 went to minus-16, which currently ranks him in third place behind Viale and Hayden Deegan. Deegan was literally buried near the end on the inside right after the start, but he then crept inside and made a few passes until a pile-up between McAdoo and Thrasher stopped #38 in his tracks. Deegan passed the race in 6th place and is now in second place, 13 points behind Viale.
McAdoo said in a Kawasaki release:
“I had high expectations coming to Nashville, but it seems like this sport is reminding us once again of how quickly things can change. We'll have to see how this week goes when we get back home.” But we have faced adversity and will face it again. We have to keep our heads up.”
This afternoon, McAdoo posted the following on Instagram:
Unfortunately, during yesterday's qualifying, I collided with another rider during a roll lap and injured my shoulder. I tried my best to prepare for last night's main race, but I wasn't able to finish it safely. We'll evaluate it further this week to see how bad it is and update you all accordingly. It's very easy to complain, “Why me?” But I've found that that way of thinking never drives progress toward getting to where I want to be. Thank you to our partners and fans for your continued support. PS I'm glad @_levikitchen was okay after his crash in the main. 📸: @align.with.us
