HGTV design star and blogger Emily Henderson helped launch a sleek new black stainless steel series from LG in December, bringing a dark, sophisticated mood to the kitchenware world. It may seem counterintuitive to want to darken your interiors as we head into brighter, warmer weather, but Henderson says that just like there are bold style moves, there are clever ways to do it. I guarantee it.
“Black works with any style,” says Henderson. “To incorporate black pepper throughout your kitchen, add a touch of black pepper throughout your kitchen through accessories, countertop appliances, knobs, hardware, and more.”
LG's Black Stainless Steel series in particular seems to have nailed the sleek and versatile look, with each item providing plenty of lasting style within your space. The satin-like glossy texture gives it a luxurious feel, and it has a soft appearance not found in regular full-size home appliances. She continues, “Stainless steel isn't solid or shiny painted black, which means the appliance can be seamlessly integrated into your kitchen without feeling too heavy or heavy.” Ta.
LG's Black Stainless Steel Series includes various styles of French door refrigerators, including several options with ranges, dishwashers, microwaves, and custom-built CustomChill Drawers. This cooling refrigerator feature is perfect for keeping contents chilled until it's time to use them and setting custom temperatures for cooking food, produce, and even wine. As Henderson suggests, “This comes in handy for the mother of her two young children.”
Mr. Henderson touts that all appliances in this range have a protective coating that resists dirt and fingerprints, making them a viable appliance option for hyperactive families. “For people with pets, small children or messy husbands, it's a win-win in terms of style and cleanliness,” she says.
If you're starting from scratch in a new or renovated space and want to try a deeper, more dramatic style, Henderson says, “When planning a full kitchen upgrade, find a few kitchens that inspire you. Please start designing.” From there. “Don't be afraid to look to your favorite bloggers and their Pinterest boards for inspiration, and focus on the looks you're naturally drawn to.
Henderson continued, “While it's clear that appliances play an important role in the design process to find the best product for my needs, I first design the color, layout, and style, then… Integrate your appliances accordingly.”
The key to lasting style in your appliances is to keep it simple and stay in tune with your lifestyle and the bones of your home. You can't really go wrong with this soft shade of black, after all, it's a universally flattering neutral. “Just as the little black dress is a timeless staple in our closets, so too is the color black in our designs,” says Henderson.
