Let's try again.
It's been a difficult journey Morgan WallenNashville bar, Morgan Wallen's This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen.
The bar, located just off Broadway next to the historic Ryman Auditorium, was originally scheduled to open Memorial Day weekend, but delays have postponed the grand opening, leaving fans waiting for news on when they'll be able to visit the bar.
Well, finally we have the answer.
The bar announced that it will open at 11am on Saturday, June 1, just in time for tourists visiting town for next week's CMA Festival to check out the new venue.
Partnering with TC Restaurant Group and sharing the same hospitality grounds as several Broadway bars including Jason Aldean's Kitchen & Rooftop Bar, Luke's 32 Bridges, Miranda Lambert's Casa Rosa and Rainie Wilson's new Bell Bottoms Up, Morgan's six-story bar will include three live music stages, six bars and an open-air rooftop.
The menu will feature “delicious Southern cuisine, bar bites, Tennessee specialties and Mama Warren's own recipes.”
As one of the biggest names in music, Morgan's popularity is undeniable, so the venue will undoubtedly be sold out. But the opening has been controversial. Earlier this month, the Nashville City Council voted to approve the plan. The Bar Association's application for permission was rejected. The city council announced it would put up a sign on the door after several city council members spoke out against some of Morgan's controversial actions, including his arrest for throwing a chair at Eric Church's rooftop bar, Chiefs.
But as we've seen time and time again with Morgan, no one in country music can not only bounce back from controversy but continue to grow in popularity in the process.
And when this store opens, there will undoubtedly be a line out the door, whether there's a sign above the door or not.
