NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — It's almost summer at the Nashville Farmers Market, and there are plenty of regulars and plenty of eateries inside, but now there's a new store called Grow Local Commissary that opened last month. A new store is opening.
“The Grow Local Commissary (GLC) is a brand new, rentable shared kitchen space created to help farmers, bakers, food artisans and more create value-added products, thereby strengthening the local supply chain and diversifying revenue streams for local small businesses,” the Nashville Farmers Market website states.
Six different entities can work simultaneously at each station. This was made possible through a grant from the Tennessee Department of Agriculture.
Open seven days a week, station rental costs $25 per hour, and while some equipment costs extra, GLC has plenty of tools available for your use.
To use the space, you must fill out an application, submit documentation, and register.

Corbin, Vandy Boys support Sullivan family
Small acts can make a big impact. This story is proof. Sports anchor Steve Layman shares how Vanderbilt University baseball head coach Tim Corbin and his entire team provided a much-needed distraction for young people and their families facing unimaginable tragedy. Yes, it's just baseball. But the day was so much more than that for everyone involved. Kudos to the Commodores!
