MARLBORO – There are good signs that Wemmy's Kitchen & Lounge is nearing its opening.
While renovations are underway inside the Fish site, outdoor signage was recently installed on the side closest to South Bolton Street.
Welly's, which will open a Wemmy's two blocks from its Main Street store, says it doesn't have an opening date yet, but will provide updates soon.
Once open, Wemmy's will offer high-quality entrees and drinks, as well as a variety of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.
lincoln street project
Construction has begun at 272 Lincoln Street. The foundation has been installed.
The project will be a 12-unit, three-story building with on-site attached parking and a total of 12 two-bedroom units, four on each floor. It is accessible off Cashman Street and Lincoln Street.
Just up the street, construction is underway on Alta Marlboro's second building at the corner of Mechanic and Lincoln streets.
This will be a mixed-use development containing 10,074 square feet of ground floor retail and commercial space. 276 residential units. There is also an on-site parking lot that can accommodate 448 cars.
Additionally, 22 off-street parking spaces and a restroom building will be constructed adjacent to the Assabet River Rail Trail.
