Luxurious meals have a lot to offer.
There are many bento boxes in Tokyo, most of which are reasonably priced, but there are also some high-end bento boxes that are quite expensive.
Those of us who eat cheap bento boxes have always wondered what more expensive bento boxes contain, but on a recent trip… EATo Lumine food section inside Shinjuku Station ticket gatewe have discovered an expensive bento that completely enchants us.
▼ EATo LUMINE opened on April 17th.
What first caught our eye may have been the dealership's sleek interior or the overall package, but when we saw it, it was called “Spring lunch box with blooming flowers” was sold at.secret kitchen”(”secret kitchen”), we were sold.
It felt strange to hand over 3,240 yen (US$20.97) for a bento, but since April is the month of treating yourself, I decided it was worth it. Furthermore, since you couldn't see what was inside, there was a sense of excitement that you wouldn't get with a regular bento.
The two-tiered lunch box was heavy to carry, and when I opened it, the contents of the top layer looked like a blooming spring field.
It was simple but very delicious, with lots of seasonal vegetables piled on top of rice.
The vegetables were seasoned to go well with the rice, and each bite gave me a refreshing taste of spring. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding, even down to the side dishes on the bottom shelf.
It was a delicious spread with countless ingredients, including roast beef, pickles, fish, and other side dishes.
According to the blurb on the back of the box, the bento's ingredients change every month. Furthermore, the journey you experience while eating is irreplaceable, as Himitsu Kitchen describes it as “the ultimate seasonal bento that captures Japanese cuisine, natural scenery such as flowers, birds, the wind, and the moon in a box.'' .
In conclusion, Secret Kitchen's bento box was worth the price. Fresh, healthy, high-quality meals like this remind us how great bento boxes are and why they're worth the splurge sometimes. The grass is always greener on the higher end of the price range, and sometimes the materials can be greener too.
