Raul's Mexican Food opened in Adelanto in 2012 and quickly became a favorite among high desert diners.
Known for its delicious and imaginative breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, Raul's has quickly amassed a loyal following of customers who return weekly.
Raul had owned a lunch truck for a while, and there were plenty of customers lining up there as well.
Life was good.
Owner Raul Gonzalez still had plans to offer even more fun to those coming to his popular restaurant. These changes included not only great food, but also a top-notch full bar with a focus on tequila.
Six months ago, those plans began to become reality.
What's your name?
The first item on Raul's plan was a major renovation of the restaurant. He was closing the Adelanto store to focus on a new store on Palmdale Road in Victorville.
Renovations include adding a kitchen and replacing the flooring. Most of the work was completed overnight to minimize inconvenience to our customers, who look forward to their regular visits to Raul's.
The restaurant has only closed twice for short periods of time, primarily to install new floors.
Another part of the renovation was a new bar.
In the future, there are plans to renovate the exterior and install new signage.
Family circumstances…
Raul's son Christopher is the man behind Tequila Bar. He is a “mixologist” who specializes in cocktail creation and develops and names the great drinks that are the focus of the restaurant.
Tequila experts (some with titles such as Tequila Master or Tequila Sommelier) can distinguish between five types of tequila, and Christopher has the industry's best tasters, testers, and mixers with unique knowledge. Masu.
Raul's bartenders have followed Christopher's lead and honed their skills in concocting signature cocktails.
The factors in Jalisco started it all.
Raul grew up in the Mexican state of Jalisco, where the town of Tequila is the origin of the spirit's name. Blue agave, the raw material for tequila, is grown here and is a major contributor to the state's economy.
Tequila has fewer calories than many other alcoholic beverages and does not cause a spike in blood sugar levels.
He knew people would appreciate everything Tequila had to offer. His restaurant offers several brands including 1800, Don Julio, Cazcanes and Clase Azul. He also stocks domestic and imported beers.

Breakfast is served from 8 AM to 11 AM. Popular menu items include machaca and eggs, rice and beans, or delicious hash browns and toast.
Lunch options include quesabirria, birria-braised beef and cheese sandwiched between crispy tortillas and soaked in a flavorful soup. If you love tacos, try the Platillo de Tacos, which feature your choice of meat in a hard or soft tortilla.
