This week's quiz: On March 16th, I asked a question about India's space program. Earlier in the week, India announced plans for its next spaceflight, scheduled for this fall. As we read in RFI's English correspondent Pratap Chakravarti's article, “India selects spaceflight pilot to make space history,” the rocket will carry a humanoid robot. I had to fill in the robot's name (in Sanskrit) and its translation into English.
The answer is: Vyomitra, translated into English, means “friend of the universe.” Vyomitra will carry out test flights next year to confirm the spacecraft's suitability for space before astronauts fly on board.
In addition to the quiz questions, there was also a bonus question suggested by Morium Nessa Momo from Bogra, Bangladesh. “Who do you most admire and why?”
Have ideas for bonus questions? Send them to us!
The winners are: RFI Listeners Club member Shaila Horsen Mo from Kishoreganj, Bangladesh. Mo is also the winner of this week's bonus question. Congratulations Mo!
