A woman's dinner-making TikTok tutorial took an unexpected turn when her brand new pot from Target collapsed right in front of her.
Shannen Gunning, a mum-of-two from New South Wales, told her followers: “I was just making a cute dinner tutorial and then it suddenly ended.”
“I bought this new pot today and it was only $10 from Target,” she said while sautéing vegetables.
But disaster struck when she added water and tomatoes to something like a bolognese mix. The bottom of the pot seemed to collapse and the entire bottom fell onto the stove with the food.
Mr Gunning turned to his off-camera partner with a shocked expression and shouted: “The pot broke…it broke.”

Amid laughter and disbelief, a Sydney woman photographed the remains of the pot, which had a clear crack in the middle.
“Then I don't think I'll have it for dinner,” Mr. Gunning said.
Gunning's TikTok video had the dejected caption, “Macca, it's over.”
Followers were quick to weigh in on the issue, with some quick to blame the user for the mistake. “That's a ceramic baking dish,” one person pointed out, adding a bunch of laughing emojis.
However, the original poster defended himself by saying, “The website says it can be transferred from stovetop to oven.”
Others offered alternative explanations, with one suggesting: “Did you fill it with cold water? If so, the drastic change in temperature would have destroyed it.”
Product description discussion
But is there more to the story? Since Anko products are a brand that recently migrated from Kmart to Target, some users have been pointing out discrepancies in the product descriptions on the two sites.
One user pointed out, “The Kmart website advertised that it could go from oven to tabletop, but the Target website said it could go from stovetop to oven.'' That's their responsibility, not yours.”
However, Target has since updated its product description and now categorizes it as “oven-to-table cookware” and says it is “oven, microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe” without mentioning stovetops. ing.

Nevertheless, the incident made many sympathize with the woman's plight. “That would drive me nuts when all I want is dinner after a long day!” one person commented. Amen to that!
So, while the woman's dinner plans may have been in vain, her TikTok certainly provides entertainment for viewers and a warning for anyone looking to purchase new cooking equipment.
