Chicago-based Tellato Kitchen has launched a new Spicy Giardiniera Pasta Sauce in honor of National Foodies Day on May 9th.
This uniquely spicy sauce combines the unique flavor of Chicago's classic giardiniera (a marinated blend of chili peppers, celery, carrots, and cauliflower) with Italian tomatoes and a variety of spices.
The Terlato family has been deeply rooted in the fine wine business and winery ownership for over 75 years. This passion is reflected in the dishes served at the table and we have created our own pasta sauces. Each Terrato Kitchen product is made with carefully selected, high-quality ingredients to create an authentic, complex, healthy and delicious flavor profile, according to a news release.
“Growing up in Chicago, known as the Food City for its love of authentic, unique and delicious food, my family was naturally inspired by the city's defining characteristics, the giardiniera,” says Terlato Kitchen founder, says John Terlato, co-owner of Terlato Wine Group. “Our Spicy Giardiniera Pasta Sauce pays homage to Chicago's rich culinary diversity, offering not just a taste but a true Chicago flavor experience. …Explaining its unparalleled alchemy and deliciousness.” It's hard to do. You have to try it to understand it.”
