The winners of the 39th Off-Broadway Achievement Lucille Lortel Award were announced on May 5th at a ceremony at New York University's Skirball.Ars Nova and National Black Theater (pray) It won three awards, including the Best Musical Award. stereo sound and hell's kitchenwhich was originally performed off-Broadway and then transferred to Broadway, also won an award.
Honora Ray Awards went to actor and playwright Ruben Santiago-Hudson (Lifetime Achievement Award), playwright Dominique Morisseau (Playwright Sidewalk Hall of Fame inductee), and off-Broadway incubator Ars Nova (Outstanding Production Award). Awarded.
