FX released a brief trailer for season three on Friday, offering a preview of the mayhem that ensues after Jeremy Allen White's Carmie opens a new restaurant with Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach).
Having opened a revamped sandwich shop restaurant last season, the trio is feeling the strain of facing the pressure to provide excellent service and food.
“That's where we train,” Mos-Bachrach's Richie tells Carmie at one point, before a confrontation between the two follows. The team faces more mishaps, including food and silverware falling on the floor and a stove on fire.
“This is a dysfunctional kitchen,” Sydney said, to which Carmie and Richie both replied, “Show us a functional kitchen.”
Earlier this month, FX premiered the new season with a scene that finds Carmy alone in the restaurant's new kitchen in the middle of the night, as he looks into the camera, which zooms out to reveal the Chicago skyline.
FX describes the upcoming season this way: “Karmy puts more pressure on himself than ever before, demanding excellence from his crew, and they do their best to live up to his enthusiasm.
