Broward County, Florida – The Original Pancake House in Coral Springs was ordered closed last week due to a cockroach problem, records show.
All three closures ordered by the state last week are related to flying insect issues.
Below is a list of locations inspected and some of the violations.
All establishments that had been ordered closed have been allowed to reopen after undergoing mandatory cleaning and reinspection.

“Employee did not wash hands before putting on gloves before beginning food handling tasks. Observed in food preparation area. Employee removed earphones before putting on gloves and continued working with food without washing hands.”
“Water running onto the floor. Observed at the kitchen hand washing sink next to the doorway.”
“Time/temperature controls for safety foods are identified in written procedures as foods stored using time as a public health control and do not have time markings. The hollandaise sauce was prepared at 8 a.m.”

“Live roaches were found, confirming roach activity. There was one live roach on the front counter. There was also one live roach on the closet door next to the food prep line. Three additional live roaches were seen emerging from between the floor and the front counter.”
