Several daytime TV shows, including “The View,'' were disrupted by a fire that broke out on the set of “Tamron Hall.''
Hall appeared on a nearly empty stage with a black screen behind him and explained what happened during the taping of Wednesday's episode. “Something happened that has never happened in five seasons of the 'Tamron Hall' show,” she said. “The program scheduled for today cannot be broadcast.”
Although “everyone is safe,” studio staff, audience members, and others had to be evacuated just before filming the 10 a.m. ET live segment due to a “grease fire in the kitchen.”
“Once again, everyone is safe,” the Daytime Emmy Award-winning host said. “We were able to evacuate the studio and are now in the clean-up phase of the show.”
A statement released by the show said: “Everyone, including staff, crew, guests and audience members, was safely evacuated from the area and no one was harmed. The show plans to safely return to the studio in time for Tamron's speech. This is the situation in the corner that was broadcast live at the top of today's program. ”
The show, which airs syndicated weekdays on ABC, features a guest appearance by Tierra Kennedy, who sang Beyoncé's “Blackbird,” rather than a scheduled interview with TV personality Tahiry Jose and choreographer Dee Ney B. A rebroadcast of Monday's episode was aired.

In a statement to USA TODAY, the New York City Fire Department said 12 NYFD officers arrived on the scene after receiving a call at 8:42 a.m. and “found charred food on a stove inside the building.” said. No injuries were reported.
