Get ready to see and enjoy a beautifully styled home on wheels that shows you what a custom home is like. U-shaped kitchens in particular are often forgotten and are a real source of inspiration for small living lovers.
Judging by its appearance, you might dismiss this mobile home as just another tiny little thing. Don't make the mistake. Because one of the most thoughtful and creative interiors he will ever miss. The Monterey II may not attract attention due to its highly decorative exterior features, but it's a real wonderland hidden inside.
The first thing you need to know about Monterey II is that it's one of a kind. Like all homes built by Louisiana-based Elite His Tiny Homes, it began life as a custom home. From the beginning, the brand's founder, Wade Hale, knew not to go with a “cliche layout” that would stifle the creativity of tiny house builders.
Instead, each residence that came out of his hands was completely unique and had to be co-created with its future owner every step of the way. Also, if the person in charge of designing and building your home happens to be an artist with a talent for making furniture, you can expect the most beautiful interiors. That is certainly the case with the 2023 Monterey II Tiny House.

Everything starts at 36 feet (10.9 meters) long and 12 feet (3.6 meters) wide. This size allowed Monterey II's builders to experiment with different possibilities and come up with a truly impressive layout. The most irresistible and most memorable feature is the home's kitchen. Forget about modest galley-style kitchens and ultra-compact countertops. This U-shaped piece of art of his looks as if it belongs in a luxurious farmhouse.
The gorgeous countertop is not only surprisingly spacious, but also extremely stylish due to its antique look and dark wood color combination. Below, there is an elegant cabinet in pale greyish-blue, which provides much more storage space than the usual small home kitchen. The large sink and his 4-burner stove fit naturally into this spacious cooking space. Instead of bulky overhead cupboards, use rustic-style shelves in the same dark shade as your countertops for even more storage and a decorative effect.
The U-shape creates ample space for owners to move comfortably around the kitchen when preparing meals, but that's not all. Extend part of the countertop outside the kitchen to form a dining area. It doubles as a snack bar with ample seating, making it a modern and innovative solution for adding dining amenities without taking up too much space.

Monterey's kitchen is adjacent to the bathroom and lounge area, with an additional transition area separating it from the bathroom. This means plenty of space with all the utilities and amenities of a residence designed for full-time living. The bathroom itself is fully equipped with a shower cabin, toilet and beautiful vanity with additional storage. The washer and dryer combo sits neatly in one of the dedicated corners of the transition area, conveniently staying out of the way.
Modern industrial style with rustic, farmhouse touches is emphasized throughout this custom's small, carefully added features. Dark wood window frames and furniture accents are a special addition to contrast the classic white shiplap walls and white kitchen tiles, creating a strong visual effect. Industrial-style light fixtures add a contemporary feel. It beautifully complements the black metal railings along the stairs and at the loft bedroom level.
A tonal contrast defines a classic staircase with a large integrated cabinet that includes a separate compartment for the refrigerator. The bedrooms on the second floor are free of any unnecessary clutter, creating a quiet and cozy atmosphere. There are two large windows on both sides, providing good light and ventilation. Minimalist-style handrails increase safety without blocking space, which is important for a sense of openness and spaciousness.

Having enough length also means you can add a mirrored kitchen like this one without sacrificing other living areas. This way, Monterey II can boast a spacious and bright lounge and an impressive bathroom, in addition to his trademark U-shaped kitchen.
A perfect blend of modernity and rusticity, the Monterey II is both inviting and sophisticated. Although it is considerably larger than other tiny houses of the same brand, it is not a family home, but rather an upgraded and super comfortable alternative home for one or two occupants.
Although this Louisiana builder's custom creations are surprisingly affordable (prices typically start at just $50,000), the Monterey II is one of its largest models, and it's also one of its most expensive. There is also. A similar work would cost him at least $100,000. Still, this perfect contemporary style and functional layout with a perfect kitchen is worth the money.
