After a big day of Tony Award nominations, Broadway favorites couldn't contain their excitement.
The Tony Award nominations have been announced and Broadway is getting pretty excited.
Since the big announcement on April 30, the show and its stars have been celebrating the 2024 Tony Award nominations. Yesterday, several hours after the nomination list was removed, we heard from many nominees (both theatrical and musical nominees), and even at screening times at the nominees' respective theaters. It turns out the celebrations continued.
The cast and staff of stereo sound The film not only became the most Tony-nominated film of the season (along with the film that also received 13 nominations); hell's kitchen), it's also the most Tony-nominated production in Broadway history, and it brought a bit of hilarity to the front of the Golden Theatre. Things got a little meta in Hudson, home of the Best Musical Revival nominee. Merrily We Roll Along. The show's second act begins with “It's a Hit!,” a song in which the characters celebrate the rapturous applause they received on the opening night of his musical on Broadway. Once we got to the part where they talked about Tony Award possibilities…well, as you can see, synchronicity was just a thing. Too perfection. In Bernard B. Jacobs, Outsider It became the third most nominated show of the season, receiving 12 nominations, including Best Musical. The winners will be selected at the 77th Tony Awards on June 16th at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center.The night begins with Tony Award: Act 1, streaming for free on Pluto TV.
