A popular spot for American comfort food, English Muffin Country Kitchen is located on Central Avenue in The Point Plaza.
At first glance, I was intrigued by their flashy sports style and array of Razorback memorabilia, and I knew this place had won my heart on looks alone.
It was equipped with the kind of equipment you'd find at a Waffle House, and the grill behind the bar was a joy to watch as everyone's orders were brought out quickly and fresh.

English Muffin Country Kitchen serves breakfast all day, but when I walked in at 1pm and asked the waitress what to order, she recommended the restaurant's excellent burger.
She said she liked the patty melt and fries, so I decided to entrust my lunch future to her and ordered it.
The price was also great, just $12 for a good sized lunch option.
It is topped with grilled onions, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles, but I forgot to ask for no pickles, so I left them out.
English Muffin Country Kitchen serves their burgers open-faced so customers can add their favorite condiments, and our waitress provided us with a large selection of condiments to choose from.
I chose the patty melt with a combination of mustard and mayonnaise.
The patty melt was well done, and although I prefer my burger medium well, it was still juicy and tasty.
What wasn't really a surprise, but was a pleasant surprise, was that the Patty Melt was served on an English muffin rather than the traditional sliced bread.
The fries were nicely cooked, not too salty and had a nice crunch – I had to eat a few of the fries before I could rate them, but they were very tasty.
I rated the overall experience 4 stars because of the taste, speed of service and great hospitality.
